Kayden is home and feeling better. As you can see in this video. Home Health brought us a home nebulizer and now we can give him his breathing treatments from home when he needs them. I'm so glad he's home and feeling better.

Update
Just a quick update on Kayden. The doctors decided to keep him one more night and continue to give him some breathing treatments but he is close to coming home. It looks like they are calling it "reactive airway disorder" which is basically the same thing as asthma. They haven't come right out and said 'your son has asthma" because I guess asthma is something they really take their time to diagnos. He is getting the same types of treatments as if he were an asthmatic, normal breathing treatments, and is put on oxygen typically at night when his levels drop in his sleep. Hopefully tomorrow he will be home in his bed and we all can sleep better. :)

Here we go again
Kayden was admitted to Utah Valley Hospital tonight. He started having troubles breathing last night and tonight we took him in. Looks like it's time for another round of RSV, you ready?
I will keep you posted.
***Update: GOOD NEWS, no GREAT NEWS....the RSV Test came back Negative!! It looks like it might be something more along the lines of asthma or some kind of bronchialitis. We are staying the night tonight and should know more by morning.
To be continued......

Sick...again and again
Well, for once I can say it's not ME that is sick! That doesn't happen very often. Nick isn't feeling well, is stuffy and feverish, and so is Kayden. I feel bad for both of them. Last night Kayden was whining and crying from about 9:00pm until 11:00pm. Nick had to get a few things done for work but when he finished he took him downstairs to see if he could get him to feel better and fall asleep and let me go to bed. I was drained and fell dead asleep.
I woke up at 3:00 am to Nick finally coming to bed after Kayden finally fell asleep. I felt so bad because Nick is the one that doesn't feel good, yet he was up most of the night with Kayden. At about 4:30am Kayden started to whine and cry again in his room. I rolled over to see if Nick was awake and he was out cold. So I got up and bundled him up in a blankie and laid down on the couch with him upstairs. He fell asleep with his head on my chest after about 20 minutes of whining and looking at me like "mom, help me". It was so sad.
I couldn't sleep. I just sat there and watched him sleep and listened to him breath. He was feverish so his breathing was a little faster then normal, and I always get so scared when he breaths faster or wheezes. 6:00am came and the coffee pot started and woke Kayden up. I put him back in bed with a bottle, and he slept for about 15 minutes, long enough for me to shower.
I missed Monday last week because Kayden was sick, and then I took Friday off because Chrissy was really sick the last part of the week. I decided I had better at least try to come to work for part of the day and take Kayden to Chrissy. I know she is good with him and he will be ok but man I feel so guilty. I remember being little and sick and just wanting my bed and my mom, yet here I am dropping off my little guy when he doesn't feel good. It is hard working full time and trying to be a mom at the same time. I just wish I could have stayed home and held and loved him all day. :( It's going to be a long day.

Random Babbling
Well, yesterday was Easter, and we didn't have any kids except for my little man, (he is too young to understand what Easter is), so we spent the day doing what we do every Sunday-- cleaning the house.
I tell ya, Holidays just aren't the same without kids. Nick and I rotate with the "other parents" every other year, so some years we have ALL the kids and then the next we have none. Last year we went to the neighborhood Easter egg hunt up at the park behind our house and the Easter Bunny came to take pictures with all of the kids. Although Ambria cried and hid behind me the entire time, the other kids had a good time (she is afraid of anything in costume....Chuck E Cheese for her 3rd Birthday...now that was fun!) It just really didn't feel much like Easter at all. If Nick didn't see the Easter Bunny riding his skateboard down the Street, we probably would have forgot altogether.
On a lighter note, recently we found out that Nick's kids are going to be moving just down the street from us with their mom and her husband. I am very excited about that because we can see them a lot more, and put them in sports and be able to spend a lot more time together.
It's warming up outside, and I am ready to go outside and play. Happy Monday!

I would like one large badonkadonk butt....extra peanut butter
Today I ate one of these. Oh how I LOVE chocolate peanut butter ice-cream! mmmmmm..... I told myself I wasn't going to feel guilty. Nope, not gonna do it. I was just going to eat it and I wasn't going to look back or feel bad in any way.
So here I am posting about it and of course I have to find a picture because it just makes it that much more justifiable (is that a word) right? So I looked up the site to get this picture and I happened to stumble across this
HOLY HANNAH! uh, good thing I'm on a protien diet (wink wink) ....otherwise this might have been considered unhealthy. Whew.
*****Edit: No, I am not pregnant. I'm just going through a phase where I can't get enough sugar. :) In case you're wondering.

Not Again
Starting on Saturday Kayden developed a wheez. Yesterday he was still pretty wheezy but it seemed to be breaking up a bit. I decided to drive to Salt Lake yesterday afternoon and pick up my lap top from work so that I could get a few things done from home today and take him in to the doctor. I will keep you posted and what they say, but I think he sounds even a little bit better today. I just hope it has NOTHING to do with RSV. That was so physically and mentally draining and I don't want to do it again.
*****UPDATE - We went to the doctor today and he said Kayden looks good and it's just a cold. He has seemed to get better throughout the day and I think he will be just fine. HOORAY!

Who is this?
I am one of those types of girls who on the weekend doesn't really get ready. I don't typically put on makeup and I don't really do my hair unless we are "going somewhere". I get ready all week, the weekend is my time to just relax and be naturual. I don't think I look all that different without makeup really though. I mean of course a little different, but if you saw me on the street you would know it was me, just a little less colorful!
Alright, with that being said, I ran across this photo today while catching up on the celebrity gossip (which is my second biggest addiction). I really didn't know who this was, in fact I don't think I would have ever guessed if I didn't see the "after" picutre. Some people really do look COMPLETELY different without makeup.
Can anyone guess this celeb? (I will post the after picture later......)
**** Edit: Good Job Shayla! It is Kim Kardashion.

Hi My Name is Erika and I am an Addict...
I like to think that Nick and I eat pretty healthy. We eat a lot of salads, low fat things, lots of fruit and veggies, and rarely ever induldge in fast food. In fact, I can't remember the last time I went to Mcdonalds, and this is coming from a girl that used to eat McDonald's at least once, if not twice a day, for a very long time (thank you good genes). I even had the menu memorized at one point. But I have a little bit of a problem.
I LOVE COOKIES. I love all kinds of cookies really, but I particulary adore those Lofthouse sugar cookies. You know, the ones with the pink frosting and sprinkles that have like 1200 calories and 1800 grams of fat. Ok, a bit of exhageration yes, but still they are not good for you at all. I have tried giving them up, several times in fact, but I just CAN'T DO IT! I can cut out soda, I can cut out fast food, I can cut out just about anything but I can't stop eating those stinken cookies.
Ok, here is the worst part though. I don't eat them during the day when I still have time to "work them off". There is this little trigger inside my head that goes off when it's 3:00am and I wake up. It's like I almost sleep walk to the kitchen and there they are glowing and glimmering right there on the counter. Those cookies taste 100 times better at 3:00am, I promise-it's true! So, I eat one, drink my glass of milk, wander back to bed (sprinkle trail and all), and then I am out.
When I wake up the next morning, I almost have to stop and think "was that a dream, or did I really eat another cookie again?"Darn it! I hate those cookies, hate them.

Another One Bites the Dust
Well, we had to move the pictures to another day. Yesterday, while Kayden and I were taking a walk around the neighborhood, he took a spill and landed on his face. He scratched up his nose pretty bad. I was really hoping it would be ok today, but it honestly looks worse. I left my picture card to my camera at work or I would take a picture and show you what he looks like.
He is seriously the toughest little guy I know. He barely even cried when he fell. He just wanted me to put him down and let him keep walking even though he had blood all over his face. I wiped him off with the wash cloth and away he went. He is such a cute kid.
So bummer on the pictures, but we rescheduled them for three weeks from today. We don't have the kids the next two weekends because it's their moms year for Easter, but we will have them two weekends in a row after Easter. By then his nose will be healed and we will be good to go. To bad I cut all three boys hair yesterday though. Oh well, guess I will just have to give them all another haircut in three weeks. :) They won't be too happy about that but eh, what do you do!

Whoomp there it is.....
It didn't take us long to find what we wanted. I LOVE the big columns on the end of this thing and the dresser has 11 drawers, the bed has 2 and the armour has 2. Plus our TV fits in the armour. Lots of room. I liked it better in the black pine color though. My kitchen is already in cherry wood. So I think this is what we are going with- not to mention I talked the sales man down $200 on the price with my mad negotiation skills! I tell ya 4 years of being a bill collector really paid off.
I am so excited!

Economic Stimulus Package
Ok, after much debating, and lots of thought, I (hubby and I) have decided that the nice little $2100 check the government is giving us extra for taxes this year (for the economic stimulus package) is going to be put to good use.
I thought about saving it, no really I did. I thought about doing a lot of things with it actually, but I have come to a conclusion. Drum roll please......we are buying a bedroom set! YES! I am so freakin excited. Can you tell? I haven't had one since I moved out and I am seriously dancing in circles thinking about it. My kids all have bedroom sets, my house has nice furniture, but my poor bedroom is so plain and boring and my clothes are currently in my closet in plastic bins.
So today Nick and I are going to go look at lunch for what we want. I think we will repaint, switch up the colors a bit, change up the master bath...we'll make a party out of it. Our house really has come together. We have worked really hard to make it cozy, and this is really the last step before it feels complete. Well, that and I really want to paint my front door like a mocha color.
I will take before and after pics!

Hammer Time!
Ok, so the new fad at Express is wide leg dress pants. Like these:
I think they are super cute but of course anything from Express is very expensive, a pair of these babies would run you about $80. So before I decide if I like them or not and have the extra $80 to blow on a pair, my loving husband got me two pairs from Target to test out.
Ok, so for those of you who wear designer clothes, you know that when you take a step down to a department store like a Target, you just don't get the same effect.! With that being said, my lovely husband got me two pairs in a size 6 (which is what I typically wear in pants at Express).
I wore one pair last week and I wore the other one today. Now that I have worn them both I have decided that they are a little big. Ok but it's a weird big. They are big up top where I am used to things fitting a little snugger. So I'm thinking "Are these things wide leg or wide butt"? I mean really? Ok no for reals, I'm wondering if maybe when I wash them they will shrink? Possibly....... hopefully. However, I haven't quite figured out yet if it's just the way they are supposed to fit or if maybe I should go down a size. Who knows.
So today, here I am at work in my Target wide butt pants and I can't help but stand up and sing
"Hammer Time, can't touch this,

Pictures
I decided that it was time we got some professional pictures done of the kids. We don't have any pictures done of them all together so I thought it would be fun. We got all three boys matching outfits and both girls matching outfits too. I will post the proofs after we have them done this coming Sunday.
