To move or not to move...that is the question.

There has been a lot of talk at my work lately of us possibly moving locations. We are growing so fast that we are running out of room in the current building we are in. I enjoy working where I am at because Nick and I work in the same building and we get to commute together, but on the flip flop, I absolutely HATE the commute. We are over an hour away (one way) once we drop the kids off to Chrissy and honestly these past 3 years of driving that 2 times a day are really starting to wear on me.

The possible locations they have been talking about are going to be more on the South end of the Salt Lake valley in the South Jordan, Union Park, Sandy area. That would work out well because I will work by Chrissys house making it convenient to drop off the kids and that really opens a whole different world of opportunity for us when we decide to move to the Salt Lake Valley. If my work is near the kids, our house could really be anywhere because I wouldn't have to back track.

Ok, so here is my dilema. IF my work does indeed move locations, and IF we move to the South end of the Valley I won't want to or really be able to carpool with Nick anymore. I mean I guess technically we still 'could' but if we carpooled one of us would be without a car and most likely that would be me since I'm the first stop. So, we would have to drive separately. Our second car is a Durango and it is a GAS HOG.

We have discussed moving to Salt Lake possibly in the next two or so years but now with the move an all we may be forced to think about moving sooner. So just for fun I went online last night to look at houses in our price range and I must say I was NOT impressed. Ok, I am picky, yes this is true, but I think you should be when it comes to buying a house. I mean you spend a good majority of your time there, you should like it right? Plus thats a huge investement to not be "happy" with your decision.

So, unless we win the lottery in the next few months or find gold in our back yard, we may be stuck forking out the extra oh what, $250 at least, a month in gas.

BUMMER.

Kindergarten Registration

Today is Kindergarten Registration at Lindon Elementary. I cannot believe Ambria starts school this year. She is so excited to go to her "big school". Lindon Elementary is a nice school in an upper class part of Lindon. The bus stop is right outside our front door, basically in our drive way.

My only issue now is that I just have to find out what to do with her the second half of the day since I work in Salt Lake and she is down here for school. She has a little friend across the street named Kela who also starts school this year. I was thinking maybe Kela's mom would be willing to keep her the second half of the day-- I just haven't had the chance to ask her yet. If not we will probably have to do one of the after school daycare programs that picks them up from school and takes them to the daycare til we get off. I am really hoping we don't have to do something like that but I am not quite sure yet.

It's so weird having your kid go away to school. One, it makes you feel really old, but two its like you are letting them go in a way, and that is hard. I am so proud of her though. She is such a bright kid and I know she will do well. I am sure preschool has helped give her that little bit of a head start. Another thing too is that it will be really weird not taking her to Chrissy every day with her little brother. I love knowing they are together all day and get to play together. Maybe I will just have to have one more?

Big Brother Update

Ok, so I have been watching Big Brother for the past couple of weeks and I must say it is so odd watching Amanda on the show. It really makes it so different to watch. Honestly I don't know how anybody could ever WANT to be on a show like that. There are 75 cameras on in that house 24 hours a day 7 days a week. You have zero privacy and your whole life is out on national TV.

Last night Nick and I were looking up some of the after hours videos on Youtube. WOW. That is all I am going to say. I mean I am not sure they are going to let her come back to work here after half of the stuff that goes on in that house. They really find a specific type of person to "fit the mold" of the show. I hate to say it but I have to continue to watch it just for the fact I know her and I can't handle not knowing what is going on when everyone at work is talking about it!

Let's Celebrate!!!

I can't believe you turn 30 today! You are such an amazing man and I am so blessed to be your wife. I wish I could take you away somewhere exotic and spoil you rotten. I really hope you have a great birthday and I love you with all my heart and soul.

Don't Forget.....

Big Brother 9 premier tonight! Channel 2, 8:00.....

Nick's 30th Birthday Count Down

Nick's 30th Birthday is one week from today. It's so weird to think he will be 30. I mean he doesn't look a day over 22 and he really doesn't act like his is that old (not in a bad immature way, but in a fun upbeat way). I mean if you really think about it 30 sounded so old when you were young, but now honestly, I think of 30 as still being young.

We are going to go out to the Mynt Martini Lounge to celebrate with some friends and some co-workers on Friday. Nick has some really cool people he works with so we invited them to come along. We don't get to go out much so I thought it would be a nice break for him for his birthday. My cousin Audrey is coming to stay the night at our house with Kayden and Ambria and we are staying in Salt Lake at the hotel Monaco When we go out we usually end up in Salt Lake and we typically stay at the Monocoa, let's just say it's kind of a tradition we started a while back. Here's a flyer for what's going on Friday at the Mynt.

Big Brother 9

Alright, I am not a TV Buff, in fact besides the news and an occasional celebrity gossip show I typically don't watch TV at all. I am afraid that this is about to change!

I have never seen Big Brother, in fact I have never heard of Big Brother, but I guess I will be watching season 9 this year.

Meet my friend and co-worker Amanda Hansen, the paralegal for my company. I learned recently that she had taken a leave of absense, and well, now I know why! I started to look for the cast today and I came across this photo of her with a small blurb about who she is. Some of the things they have posted already are pretty bad, but I guess you will just have to watch for yourself to find out how it really goes down. So needless to say, my new favorite show will be Big Brother.

Stay tuned......

Amanda is a paralegal from Minnesota, I call her...prettier Amber. She isn't going to get any play, but her accent should piss someone off eventually.

I love the things kids say.....

On our way home from work today, on the freeway offramp to our house, Ambria found what is left of the old Geneva factories after they tore them down this past summer. She says "Mommy, I know where clouds come from". I stopped for a minute to try and figure out what she was talking about and finally replied "Oh, you do honey? Where do they come from?" Pointing to the smoking factory she replied "From right there mom, from that big cloud machine, can you see it?

I love the things kids say!

Another Baby?

Oh, another day, another answer. I really go back and forth on this one because I just am not 100% sure I'm ready to say, that's it, I'm done. Do I or will I EVER want another baby? I'm not getting any younger and if I DID want another baby I wouldn't want to wait too long before I decided to get pregnant. (Nick is totally freaking out right now reading this) ha ha.....

Ok, no seriously. I have my days where I think, oh a baby, they're cute, snuggly, they need you, they love you, plus I absolutely LOVE being pregnant. I seriously think I could grow babies my whole life if I could give them away at the end. Ok, I couldn't really do that but I'm just saying...... I really do want one more with Nick, how fun it would be to have one more! Nick really really wants a little girl. But then there are days where I sit back and reality starts to sink in. IF we had another one, where would it sleep (we are running out of space), how would we ever afford 6 kids, daycare, clothes, nice things bla bla bla. We are not rich by any means.

Then I remember how I felt when I found out I was pregnant with both Ambria and Kayden. Yes, it was a little scarier the first time because it was unplanned, but with both pregnancies I had the same valid questions. Maybe it's just the normal scared feeling you have when you aren't sure about how things will turn out. But with kids, at least with my experiences, those things seem to work themselves out in the end.

So, here I am, still asking myself......Could I have just ONE more?

A Good Weekend

Well, it's Sunday night and the weekend is just wrapping up. I must say it was a good weekend. We had the kids again for the second weekend in a row and we have them again next weekend. It's really been nice having them around a lot the past few weeks. We didn't see them for so long and we miss them alot when they were gone.

Saturday night I had a "girls night out" with Chrissy. I can't remember the last time I had that. It was nice to get away for a while with just a bunch of girls and hang out. I really liked her other friends, they were really cool chicks. Today we cleaned the house and put all the laundry away and the kids played outside in the snow for most of the day. There is probably 12 inches of snow outside and it's supposed to continue to snow throughout the night. So, all in all I would have to say it was a nice relaxing weekend. I am not ready to go back to work tomorrow, and in fact, if it continues to snow, I think I may just stay home.
