To move or not to move...that is the question.

There has been a lot of talk at my work lately of us possibly moving locations. We are growing so fast that we are running out of room in the current building we are in. I enjoy working where I am at because Nick and I work in the same building and we get to commute together, but on the flip flop, I absolutely HATE the commute. We are over an hour away (one way) once we drop the kids off to Chrissy and honestly these past 3 years of driving that 2 times a day are really starting to wear on me.

The possible locations they have been talking about are going to be more on the South end of the Salt Lake valley in the South Jordan, Union Park, Sandy area. That would work out well because I will work by Chrissys house making it convenient to drop off the kids and that really opens a whole different world of opportunity for us when we decide to move to the Salt Lake Valley. If my work is near the kids, our house could really be anywhere because I wouldn't have to back track.

Ok, so here is my dilema. IF my work does indeed move locations, and IF we move to the South end of the Valley I won't want to or really be able to carpool with Nick anymore. I mean I guess technically we still 'could' but if we carpooled one of us would be without a car and most likely that would be me since I'm the first stop. So, we would have to drive separately. Our second car is a Durango and it is a GAS HOG.

We have discussed moving to Salt Lake possibly in the next two or so years but now with the move an all we may be forced to think about moving sooner. So just for fun I went online last night to look at houses in our price range and I must say I was NOT impressed. Ok, I am picky, yes this is true, but I think you should be when it comes to buying a house. I mean you spend a good majority of your time there, you should like it right? Plus thats a huge investement to not be "happy" with your decision.

So, unless we win the lottery in the next few months or find gold in our back yard, we may be stuck forking out the extra oh what, $250 at least, a month in gas.

BUMMER.

YIKES. Big decision. I know houses seem out of your price range, but did you factor in that you'd be spending WAYYYYY less on gas? Plus you'd probably get a pretty penny for your house when you sell it...

I hate those "what if" scenarios. I am someone who needs to know everything up front. BUT, when those type of situations come up...the solution usually just comes up on its own as well. Hang in there :)

I really wouldn't mind watching your little girl, if you stay in PG. :)
