#1 Trance DJ in the World....Tiesto!

What an awesome show!!! I still can't believe Tiesto made it out to good old Utah, be he did and we were there for sure!!! He came to Harry O's in Park City and he sold the place out. The line was around the corner by 7:30pm and the place was packed! We had such a blast!

He is the #1 Trance DJ in the Nation, born in Holland, and plays mainly in Europe. He doesn't speak a word of English but he had so much fun playing. You could feel his energy just watching him dance and jump up and down!

When I met Nick he was so into Hip Hop, but it didn't take me long to migrate him over to the world of house music! Now he's hooked and I love it! It's so nice to have your partner be into something as much as you are, and house music is so much to me! I can't get enough of it! It totally grew on me and now I have someone to share it with and to go see all of these awesome DJs with me! YES!

Almost done!

Nick and I spent some time working on the downstairs bathroom this weekend. Just a few more finishing touches and we will be done! I can't wait until it's finished, scrubbed clean, and usable! All of the plumbing works, we caulked, painted, put up baseboards, finished the lights....just have to seal the tile and scrub it down really good and we should be good to go! All I have to say is it is ABOUT TIME!

What a good lookin' little dude.....

I still can't get over how much he looks like his dad!

COOKIES!!!!!

Nick and I decided to try and give Kayden some different baby foods. He doesn't like actual baby food from the jar. It makes him gag! But he loves those grahm cracker cookie things that get really messy and all over the place. I had to post some of the pictures I took from him eating them tonight! Sorry if they are blurry, he was having too much fun and laughing the whole time!

New hair color of the week.....

Well folks I decided today, at the last minute that I needed a change. Again! I know, I decide that on a weekly basis, I'm bad. I put some lighter blondes through my hair and some red brown. It was a little coppery at first, so she toned it down a bit, but here you go. Enjoy!

Another fun drive home from work...

As many of you know Nick and I work in the same building and commute to work together. Makes for a nice drive, yes. So, today Nick and I drove separate because he had a work dinner and I needed to pick up the kids.

As I got off our exit from the freeway the car started acting funny. It was shaking and rattling and I could not figure out what was wrong. I thought maybe it was the wind, or the bumpy back roads in Pleasant Grove. I pulled into the driveway, checked out the front of the car, then I walked around back. FLAT TIRE!

Sure, the one day I am alone right! I tell ya someone was watching out for me and the kids because I could have blown it on the freeway and who knows what would have happened. Thank goodness for small miracles. :)

My Crazy Child.....

Alright, I had to blog about this one. Today on the way home Ambria was so talkative. When you don't see her for a while she has so much to tell you. Well for some reason Ambria is infactuated with death. What happens when you die, where do you go, who is there?

So today she told me how you get to heaven. The way you get there is on a rollercoaster. This is not just your average rollercoaster, this roller coaster goes underwater and you have to wear glasses. It has a picture of Cinderella on the side of it! It's called the "DIE rollercoaster". After it goes under water it "shoots you up in the sky to Keven (Heaven)"! She has one heck of an imagination!

I can't wait for the next story!

Ambria is home!

Today Ambria finally came home. She has been staying at her daddy Chris's since we got back from Virginia, 2 whole weeks! That is the longest I have ever been away from her, and I swear she grew up so much these past few weeks.

Today when I picked her up her Grandma showed me what they have been learning while she watches her during the summer. I was amazed! Ambria knows where, California, Ohio, Texas, Maine, New York, Florida, Utah, Montana, Washington, Arizona, Utah, Oregon, Alaska all are on a map. You call them and she points right to them. There were a few others that she knew that I don't even know! What a smart little girl she is. Sometimes I can't believe the things she knows. I missed her a lot while she was gone. I am glad she is home.

Something is wrong with me.....

Ever since I was a little kid, as far back as I can remember, I have always gotten canker sores. You know those really annoying little sores you get on your lips and gums? Ok, so recently I have started to have these crazy outbursts of cankers. When I get one, I get 10. Most people's cankers last 3-4 days. Maybe 7 if they are really bad. My canker sores last about 3-4 WEEKS. They start out small and painless, but as soon as I can feel one coming in I know I am doomed.

Right now I have three on the tip of my tongue. These are the worst. You can't talk, you can't eat, you can barely drink and they are the most painful thing ever. I have one under my tongue, one on the inside of my lip, one on the back of my throat and one on the roof of my mouth. HELP ME!!!!

There is a doctor at my work who called in some prescriptions for me today for acyclovir, which is the generic of zovirax, and chlorodextrine which is a mouth wash and is supposed to kill germs and help a little with the pain. If this doesn't work, or at least help I GIVE UP! I have tried every home remedy possible, I've swished salt water, tried anbesol, you name it, I've done it. So wish me luck because I am dying here!

4th of July....

Kayden went to bed at his normal time of 8:30 last night. I wondered whether he would sleep through all of the fireworks in the neighborhood, or the Highschool firework show. Nick and I put out a blanket on our neighbors front lawn and brought out the baby monitor to listen for him in case he woke up. The neighbors always compete with their fireworks before the professional ones start, so we got a kick out of that.

The Highschool started their fireworks, and about 30 seconds into them I could hear Kayden start to fuss on the monitor. So I looked at Nick, took off running across the street, and thought I would bring him out so that one he wasn't scared in there wondering what the heck was going on and two so he could see them for his first time!

I have never seen a bigger pair of eyes in my life! He was so focused on them he wouldn't look away. He didn't jump, or cry, but he watched and would occasionally smile and look at me like "mom, do you see that!" He thought they were great! I was really glad he woke up ;)

Happy 4th of July!

Well, it's the 4th of July and we don't have any of the kids again this year. (well we have one cute little guy). Pleasant Grove Highschool does their own fireworks every year and you can see them from our front lawn. So we are just going to hang out today, bbq tonight and watch the fireworks from the comfort of our own home. Maybe next year when we have the kids we will make an effort to get out and do something else.

Hope you all enjoy your 4th of July!
