Rub~a~dub~dub, Kayden's in the tub!!!

Sitting up all on his own
Well hello ladies....

Future All Star

Cheese!

We didn't buy this one, but it's still cute!

We ordred the biggest package that came with border creations, personalized names on his pics, and all sorts of fun stuff! He was so good, and so cute with the photographer. She had a feather duster and would tickle his feet and he would completely giggle! It was so awesome. I have never had a kid be so good for pictures before and this was his first time. What a good looking little dude! (Thanks to Nick!)

What a day!!!

We got home from work today and still no Taja. It was another day over 100 degrees. I knew that if Taja was outside, it wouldn't be too many more days of 100 degrees before he would have died. I don't know what it was but something told me he hadn't gone too far. I could feel it. I know it sounds cheesy, but I could feel him near. (yes, this is a cat we are talking about)!

I went outside and Zoe (our other black cat) followed me. You could see that she was very distraught and that she was looking all over for him meowing at the top of her lungs. It was cute to see how hard she was trying to find him. I checked the surrounding window wells in all of our neighbors yards (our backyards all come together in common land). I don't know how much I believe in psychic capabilities, but something told me to look in the window wells.

Then Nick and I loaded up the baby in the stroller and began to walk the neighborhood. If you have ever seen my cats you know they don't go far. Not unless Nick or I take a walk and they will follow right behind just like a dog. Other than that, they ususally don't even go out of the yard.

After going about a block radius around our house, I decided that we weren't going to find him and that I was going to go home and make flyers to put on our neighbors doors to see if that would help. As I walked through the backyard Zoe started to meow louder and darted under our neighbors deck. I was calling Taja's name and I could hear a meow. I know his meow, and I could hear him! I kept calling him but I couldn't see him anywhere. Our neighbors deck is about 8 inches off the ground. Just high enough for a small animal to crawl under. He was somewhere under that deck, but I couldn't see him. Now I am freaking out because it has been 48 hours without food or water and he is stuck somewhere where I can't get him!

As I looked farther under the deck I could see a covered window well. The deck had been built over the top of it. Somehow he had fallen down into the window well, and he couldn't get out. I knocked on my neighbor's door. No answer! So I pounded harder! Finally she answered the door and I am sure I was pale as a ghost! I just started ramblling "my cat, in your window well, he's in there, two days, no food, no water!" She probably thought I was losing my mind!

She let me in and took me downstairs. There he was, sitting down, staring at me like "mom, I can't get out!" We opened the window and I grabbed him and hugged him. He was so skinny! This is the fattest cat you have ever seen and he was skinny! I am so thankful I heard him meow or who knows when they would have found him or if he would have been alive. Their basement is unfinished and they don't go down there, so the would not have seen him.

So, I guess the moral of this story is trust your instincts because they are usually right, and don't let the stupid cats out of the house!

THE END.

Preschool

I have decided that it's time to put Ambria in a preschool. She starts kindergarten this coming year and I want her to be ready. So, I ran it by Chrissy and thought it would be fun if Ambria and Carter went together. That way they would know each other and it might make it funner for them.

Nick did some searching and found one in Murray. It's not super close the Chrissy's house but it is a good price and it's right off the freeway. The classes are 3 days a week 2 1/2 hours each session. They would start on Aug 29th when all the other kids are back in school.

Plus I have to say that I think it would be such a nice break for Chrissy to have a few hours a day- a few days a week- with just the two babies!

I'll keep ya posted!

Missing...

Yesterday when Nick and I left for work, Taja, our Siamese kitty went outside. Usually I try to keep them inside when we go to work, but sometimes he is too stubborn and wants to stay outside and play.

The kitties are so good about staying right around the house, and usually once they have been outside for just a few minutes you can hear them meowing at the door to be let back in. Well, we came home from work last night, and no Taja. Often times when it starts to get dark outside he will wander home, but last night he never came. Zoe spent the night outside last night, and when I went to let her in this morning, still no Taja. I am getting a little worried. I really hope he is ok. It was 100 degrees yesterday and he has been without food and water for over 24 hours now.

I told Nick to call the pound today to see if for some reason they picked him up, and we drove around the neighborhood on our way out today. Taja is my favorite of the two, so I am a little sad today. I don't know what I will do if he doesn't come home. :(

Growing up Part 2....

Well, Kayden turned 7 months old yesterday. It's amazing to me how fast it goes by. Before we know it he will be crawling, and talking and holding his own bottle. You really have to cherish them when they are small.

What is really crazy is that Chrissy's little girl Olivia is already a month next week! WOW....

More babies anyone?

Luckiest girl in the world...

Alright, this post is long over due, and although it might make some of you sick I have to post it! I just wanted to say that I quite simply think that I am the luckiest woman alive. I have the worlds best husband/father of my kids, and I am so thankful for everything he does for me and the kids.

I have never met another man in my life that is so selfless, giving, caring, (oh there are so many words to describe him). That's right ladies....he cooks, he cleans, he does laundry, he baths the kids, he wakes up with the baby at night, he does it all! I am sure this will embarrass him a bit and I am sorry to brag, but I often think I don't tell him enough how much I appreciate him, need him and love him from the bottom of my heart! What a lucky gal I am!

I love you Nicholas Stocks!

New photos coming soon.....

Nick and I have decided that it is time to get some professional pics of Kayden done. He is in such a cute stage right now and is always so smiley. Check back this weekend because hopefully we can post some by then....

Growing up.....

I was thinking a lot about all of the kids today and how fast they are all growing up. Ke'alohi was just a little girl when Nick and I first got together and now, this year, she starts the 5th grade. Kolya will be going into second grade this year, and little Nakoa (who was barely 3 when I met him) is off to Kindergarten. It feels like just yesterday he was a little bundle of curls, carrying around his doggy, still in diapers.

It's fun to watch them grow and change, but it is so amazing how fast it happens. One day their in diapers and the next day they will be asking to borrow your car. I was thinking about if the kids were all with us full time. Next year we would have all 4 of them in elementary school. Ambria in Kindergarten, Koa in 1st, Kolya in 3rd and Ke'alohi in 6th! It would be fun to have them all together. Poor little Kayden would be all alone!

I have no hair!

Alright, I know, I am a freak! Last night I decided that I was going to remove my hair extensions. A couple of pieces fell out while I was on vacation from swimming and I decided that with it being summer I wanted to be free and do what I wanted without my hair weighing me down. I don't think I realized how much up keep they require.

So, I bought some stuff called liquid gold and last night Nick and I took them out! It took 2 1/2 hours but they are out. Sad part is, I got so used to all of the extra hair and now I feel bald! I am going to chop off my hair, lighten it up a bit and hang out until maybe September when I am putting them back in. This time I am going to make them a lot shorter and put in less hair so it's not so heavy and I can actually do something with it. I am going to add some highlights too in the extensions.

So, for the summer I am bald, but at least I can swim and not worry. My poor hair! I have done so many things to it.....I am surprised I have any left!

Aquariums, Rides and Pirate Ships!

Here are some pics of some of the fun things we did this week. The Pirate Cruise was pretty fun, a little choppy out on the sea, but the pirates did a cute job entertaining the kids. Virginia aquarium was full of fun sea stuff, and Busch Gardens rocked! This year I got to go on the big kid rides because I wasn't pregnant! We had a blast. Ke'alohi was my little rollercoaster buddy and went on them all! You can check out some of the rides at here.

Captain Koa Stocks...

First Lady Ke'alohi Stocks...

This pirate was not so happy, waves were a bit rough, and lost his cookies in the pirate bathroom!!

Happier times before the trip
Notice who's missing? Ambria is afraid of anything in costume! She stayed with grandmama and Kayden too...
It's a blue octopus if you're wondering what's on my cheek...

He-Man.......raar!
This is Busch Gardens Theme Park in Willliamsburg...
She rode this 11 times in a row....and told Nick "Your such a nice daddy" for letting her go over and over and over....she wouldn't ride any big rides

How many stocks can you fit in a shark's mouth?

Alexandra, Ke'alohi, and Ambria....all of the girl cousins
Nick and his three boys.....

Virginia Aquarium..
Giant Sea turtles.....so cool!

I am dying!

Today in Virginia it wasx 103 degrees and 85% humidity. It's one of those hots where you walk outside and you could have sworn you just took a shower because you are dripping wet. It is very humid here. The kids played in the water most of the day in the backyard. Tomorrow we are off to the beach. We will take some pics soon.....

Grandma Ray.....

I had to post this picture because it brings a smile to my face every time I see it. This is me and my sister Julie and my favorite person in the world, my Grandma Ray. She passed away when I was 7 months pregnant with Ambria, and never had the chance to meet her first granddaughter. I still think that day has to be the saddest day of my life.

I loved that woman! She was so much like me, so full of fire and spunk. I remember she watched our house while we went on vacation to Hawaii and my dad asked her "mom, how are you going to get up and down the stairs" and she said "I don't know Craig, but I will just go down on my bum!". What a wonderful person she was!

PS don't mind Mc'Donalds in the background....quick dinner!

Adios Muchachos!!!

Tomorrow is the big day when we fly out to Virginia. Friday we are going to Busch Gardens and Saturday it's off to the beach house. Hope you all have a nice 2 weeks because there will most likely not be any posts from this chick!

SEE YA!

Olivia Betty Bailey

She's here! After 9 months of waiting to find out, Chrissy is thrilled for her new little girl. She has a full head of dark hair and is alert as can be. Welcome to the world little Bailey!

The baby is here!!!

After a successful C-Section, Chrissy delivered a beautiful baby GIRL this morning. The baby is 20 inches long and weighs 8 lbs. 2 oz. (a lot smaller than she had planned).
It was a shocker to all!

The delivery went smoothly, with only a few mild complications. The baby had tied her cord in a couple of knots and during surgery the doctors found that she was breach. All is well now and both mother and baby are recovering fine.

Check back later today for pictures....and possibly her name! (They still can't decide).

CONGRATULATIONS TO CHRISSY and her NEW BABY GIRL!

Today is the big day!

Well folks, today is the big day. Chrissy went into surgery at 8:30 this morning to have her new baby. Ryan is going to give me an update as soon as things are done and settled down. Stay tuned for updates and pics.........
