A Little Friday Fun....

Kalei (Nick's ex) called last night to see if we could take the kids overnight so that her and her husband could go visit his little brother in the hospital. He has his gallbladder out and is pretty sick. So of course, we were more than willing!

When the kids got here Ke'alohi was really sad because she wanted to go with her friends to Classic Skating. There weren't any adults there, so we didn't want to drop her off. Instead, we found a babysitter for Kayden and we all went. It was a blast!

I can't believe how much she is growing up. I watch her and it reminds me of myself as a kid at the Galleria skating rink. We would go there every weekend and hang out with all the regulars. It's amazing how much she has changed in the past few years. She is in 6th grade this year and becoming a little lady. It was really good to spend a night with all of the kids when we weren't expecting to see them til next weekend. We sure have fun we we all get together.

Almost Done

We are almost done with our deck. Darrin finally came back to finish the railing and I like the way it turned out alot. See for yourself...doesn't it look more complete?

Just waiting for the one side to be finished with the opening, and it should be by today!

It's My Party and I'll Cry if I want to

For Ambria's Birthday this year we took her and 4 of her neighborhood girlfriends to Kangaroo Zoo. This place is really fun for kids because it has all of those large blow up structures for them to bounce around on and go wild. We did pizza first in the back yard, that was decorated in pink balloons, and then we went to play.

Ambria's dad came, and when she is around him she has a hard time because she turns into a ball baby, crying over everything. So she spent most of the time playing with him or crying in the corner because she didn't get her way. Notice, no pictures of her below. So Nick decided that he would entertain all of the girls, and he chased them all over and they would run and hide in the bathroom away from him! It was so cute!

I raced Hailey on this opsticle course and as you can see...I lost!

This was the baby bouncy thing that Kayden loved and hung out in most of the time.

First Day of Kindergarten

Well, it's official, Miss Ambria is a big girl now and off to school! Here is some pictures from her first day of Kindergartern:

This is in her classroom. Her teacher is Mrs. Howell.

Before school, posing for the camera

Ambria, Kela, and Quade. Quade is in Ambria's class and Kela is in the class next door.

She was really excited to go to school. All of her friends rode the bus the first day but I wanted to take her to her class myself. Chris came down to come with. It is still so weird that she is in school now, but I am sure she will do such a great job!

Happy Happy Birthday to....

Miss Ambria Dawn!

My baby girl turned 5 years old today. I can't believe how fast she is growing up. It feels like just yesterday she was a tiny baby packing around her bottle and her lion everywhere she went.

Yesterday I sent her off to Kindergarten for the first time, and it felt like I sent a part of me with her. It's hard watching your baby grow up and become a little lady, but I am so proud. What a smart, beautiful child I have. I am blessed to have her in my life.

I love you Doonich!

Slackin' Off

Sorry, I haven't posted for a while. I have full intentions on catching up tomorrow. A lot has been going on and I have been preoccupied. I promise, I will fill you all in. :)

My $17.00 Investment

So you all have heard me moan and groan about my wrinkles. Yes, it's true, I have them. So over the weekend I bought myself some $17.00 super duper anti-aging cream. Although the back of the box says "will take up to 8 weeks for a noticable difference", I decided today it must already be working! What a great investment.

Driving through Fazolis's Drive through today I totally got hit on by a 16 year old! Yes, that's right...he couldn't have been older than 16 or 17 at the max. First he wanted to know how long I had been married (I think he was just checking to see if I was) and then he told me "Just so you know, you have GREAT eyebrows!" I couldn't help but laugh on my way out of the parking lot. Seriously kid, eyebrows?

Pick up lines sure have changed since my day! and then... once again..... I felt really really old. Damn.

My Son Trouble

Last night I finally found the time in my busy schedule to work on a very large post about our trip to Virginia. I uploaded pictures, made captions, the whole shabang. Then, just as I went to click submit, my very busy and mischevious son decided he would press that really bright shiny blue button on the front of my computer! ZZAAAAPPPPP!

I gasped as the programs began to close one by one. Goodbye internet, peace out Microsoft Word, adios to all of them, and then ......black. As I stared at the blank screen in front of me I realized it was over, my masterpiece of a post was gone, forever. It's a good thing that kid has my heart, because if I didn't love him so much, I just might have listed him for sale on Ebay last night. Half off.

I should have named him "Trouble".

***** UPDATE! I found the post in SAVED under drafts....so guess what, you can see it below!

He's still a stinker though ;)

We're Back....

Well actually we have been back for three days now but I have been up to my eyeballs in work and haven't had time to post yet. Our trip was fabulous. The weather really wasn't too bad. It was humid like normal but it was bearable.

The kids really had a good time seeing Grandmama and Grandaddy. It's amazing how much they miss them when they don't see them for months at a time. We had tears at the airport on the ride back, and it was hard for them to leave. Here are some fun pics from the trip:

Koa would dig in the sand on the beach and find little Hermit crabs to put in his bucket. When he was done he had probably close to 30 of them!

Aunt Dava and Kayden

At Nick's Grandmama's house, showing our many many talents. Kolya can stand on his head. :)

Nick and I left all 5 kids with Grandmama and Grandaddy and went to DC. A much needed break

And by the end of my trip, this is how I felt. :) Thanks again for the fun trip Grandmama and Grandaddy, we miss you already!
